MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 12, 1997 <br />WAIVING The Fire Department has requested the City waive its 10% <br />10% donation requirement on the proceeds from the fund- raiser they held <br />DONATION for Ron Fisher, a Little Canada resident who suffered a broken back. <br />assons Morelan felt it was reasonable to waive the 10% donation requirement <br />given this fund- raiser is similar to gold plate dinners that are held in the <br />City by various organizations. The City does not impose 10% donation <br />requirements on gold plate dinner proceeds. <br />Pedersen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97 -3 -61— WAIVING THE CITY'S 10% <br />DONATION REQUIREMENT ON THE PROCEEDS FROM THE <br />LITTLE CANADA FIRE DEPARTMENT'S FUND - RAISER HELD <br />ON BEHALF OF RONALD FISHER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (4) Fahey, Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Morelan suggested that the Fire Department petition the State to waive its <br />10% donation requirement for this fund- raiser. <br />SHED Given that the Mayor and Council Member Pedersen will not be at the <br />ORD. next Council meeting, the Administrator suggested consideration of the <br />Shed Ordinance be tabled until the April 23rd regular meeting as it would <br />require four affirmative votes of the Council to adopt the ordinance. <br />Mr. Pedersen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97 -3 -62 — TABLING ACTION ON THE <br />PROPOSED SHED ORDINANCE UNTIL THE APRIL 23, 1997 <br />REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (4) Pedersen, Fahey, Morelan, Scalze. <br />Nays (0).
