Hanson
The Council must decide if it wishes to continue to not waive the City's statutory tort limits for
liability coverage. By not waiving our statutory tort limits, we are telling the League of Minnesota
Cities Insurance Trust that any claims where statutory limits of liability apply will be governed by
those limits, i.e. $300,000 per person and Si million per occurrence. In cases where the statutory
limits do not apply, we have $I million of liability coverage.
Staff would recommend continue with our practice of not waiving our statutory tort limits.
- 1 7 -
