9.04 Permits; Bonds. The City shall require appropriate performance and payment <br />bonds from the Contractors with such terms and in such amounts that, at a minimum, meet all <br />state and bond requirements for performance of public work. <br />9.05 Legal Compliance. All Project work under this agreement shall be governed by <br />and construed according to the laws of the State of Minnesota. The City and its Contractors will <br />comply with all applicable local, state, or federal laws or regulations applicable to the Project. <br />The most recent version of these shall govern at any given time. The City shall monitor its <br />agents, Contractors, and employees for the purposes of ensuring compliance with all applicable <br />laws. If any change in circumstances or law will affect the performance of the Project work, the <br />City will notify the Council's Project Manager of the change in circumstances or law at the <br />City's earliest opportunity. <br />9.06 Tertnination. The parties may mutually agree to terminate this agreement. Such <br />termination must be in writing subscribed by authorized representatives of the parties and must <br />describe the rights and obligations of the parties with regard to the Project work completed at the <br />time the termination is effective. The City shall include in its Contracts reasonable and <br />appropriate terms that provide for termination of the Contracts by the City for cause and for <br />convenience. <br />9.07 Notices. Any notice, request, or demand which may or must be given by a <br />party under the terms of this agreement or any statute or ordinance, shall be effective and <br />deemed properly given two (2) business days after it is deposited in the U.S. Mail or delivered <br />in person to the other party addressed as follows: <br />To Metropolitan Council: <br />Metro Transit <br />Heywood Office & Operating Facility <br />560 Sixth Avenue North <br />Minneapolis, MN 55411 <br />Attn.: Chris Weyer <br />- 1 0 - <br />To City of Little Canada <br />515 Little Canada Road East <br />Little Canada, MN 55117 <br />Attn: Joel Hanson <br />
