Hanson Xcel Energy Outdoor Lighting informed me that they made an error in their cost estimates to relocate the streetlights from Little Canada Road. The cost to remove eight streetlights from each side of Little Canada Road (a total of 16 streetlights) is $34,400 or $1,950 each for the south side and $2,350 each for north side of road. Based on this the cost of some of the options changes. Option 1 (no change) Remove the 16 streetlights on south side Little Canada Road $14,000 Install 14 streetlights along one side of Market Place Drive $22,400 Total $36,400 If streetlights are to be staggered along both sides of Market Place Drive the cost will increase to cover the increase in length of conduit and wire to about $38,000. Option 2 (changed) Remove every other streetlight on both north and south side of Little Canada Road (16 streetlights total) $34,400 Install 14 streetlights along one side of Market Place Drive $22,400 Total $54,800 If streetlights are to be staggered along both sides of Market Place Drive the cost will increase to cover the increase in length of conduit and wire to about $56,400.
