I-Ianson Ramsey County periodically reviews Use Deed that municipalities hold for various tax forfeited properties. In reviewing Use Deeds held by the City of Little Canada, they determined that the stated use on some Deeds did not specifically follow use language allowed under State Statute. As a result, Ramsey County is asking the City to process a "Request for a Change of Use" so that these Deeds can be amended to ensure compliance with Statute. Below is a listing of each parcel, recommended use change, and a map showing its location: Parcel ID Recommended Use Designation 06- 29 -22 -12 -0007 Drainage 06- 29 -22 -31 -0014 Recreation 06- 29 -22 -44 -0017 Essential Public Service /Fire Protection 07- 29 -22 -12 -0049 Recreation In conducting this review, the County found that the legal description for one parcel was incorrect, in addition to the fact that the use needed to be corrected. Therefore, to handle this use correction properly, the parcel will need to be reconveyed to the State, and a Request for Use Deed processed. Again, below is the parcel, recommended use, and map showing its location: Parcel ID Recommended Use Designation 06- 29 -22 -12 -0006 Drainage Staff recommends that the Council approve the request for a change in use for the grouping of four parcels listed above, as well as approve a reconveyance to the State of Minnesota, Trust Exempt for Parcel 06- 29 -22 -12 -0006 and approve a request for use deed for drainage purposes for this same parcel.
