Hanson <br />Mr. Charles Vermeersch of 626 East County Road B2 is requesting approval for a filling and <br />excavation permit to excavate approximately 320 cubic yards of material and place 20 cubic <br />yards of material to provide a flat area in his back yard and soften existing slopes to 3:1. See <br />attached sketch. <br />I have review the request and visited the site. The area to be excavated and filled if confined on <br />both sides by concrete retaining walls. Existing drainage conditions will not be changed by this <br />work, The area will be restored with sod and native plantings. <br />Since more than 100 cubic yards of material is being excavated, City council approval is <br />required. It is recommended that the Little Canada City Council approve Mr. <br />Vermeersch's request to excavate approximately 320 cubic yards and place 20 cubic yards <br />of fill, on his property at 626 County Road B2, subject to the following conditions: <br />1. Silt fence be install along the toe of the area to be excavated and /or filled until <br />vegetative cover is established. <br />2.
