MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING PLANNING COMMISSION LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA MAY 8, 2003 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 8th day of May, 2003 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Chair John Keis called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: PLANNING COMMISSION: ALSO PRESENT: Mr. John Keis Mr. Scott Barraclough Mr. Tom Duray Mr. Dan Knudsen (arr. 7:55 p.m.) Mr. Tom Roycraft Ms. Kathy Weihe Mr. Tom Wojcik Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner Mr. Jeremy Brodin, Cable TV Prod. Ms. Kathy Glanzer, Deputy Clerk MINUTES The minutes of the April 10, 2003 Planning Commission meeting were approved as submitted. THE VILLAGE George Sherman, Sherman Associates, appeared before the Planning AT LITTLE Commission and reviewed his request for Preliminary and Final Plat, CANADA — Development Stage PUD, Architectural Review, and a Property GEORGE Division related the The Village at Little Canada, a 52 -unit townhome SHERMAN development. Sherman began by reporting that he has entered into a purchase agreement for the back portion of the Ultimate Golf property. This piece of property will be incorporated into the townhome development site. Sherman noted that there is a shed and another building at the back of this property that will be torn down. The request for Property Division approval relates to the incorporation of this property into The Village townhome development. Sherman reviewed the City Planner's report dated May 5, 2003. Sherman acknowledged the Planner's comments relative to the density of the development. The next issues addressed were the adjacent land uses and street design as well as access. Sherman pointed out that the City has
