Little Canada Road <br />Little Canada, MN 55117 <br />Attn: Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />Re: PUD application for Express Image building expansion <br />Site Address: 2942 Rice St. <br />Dear Joel, <br />RJ Marco Construction is assisting Express Image, Inc. with the expansion of <br />their existing building facility. Express Image, Inc. manufactures labels, signs, and <br />various other printed items. The demand for their products has increased, but their <br />current building capacity is too small to handle the increased demand. Express Image, <br />Inc. is growing fast and needs more space. Express Image would like to stay in Little <br />Canada and not move from their current location. <br />The existing facility is approximately 18,000 SF consisting of 15% office and <br />85% manufacturing. We are seeking approval to add a 10,000 SF addition on the West <br />side of the existing building. We are also seeking approval to install a temporary office <br />facility (trailer) adjacent to the building during the construction process. This temporary <br />facility would be removed upon completion of construction. <br />The additional space will provide more jobs to local residents as well as to <br />surrounding communities. The addition will enhance the architectural appeal of the <br />building by adding a decorative entry vestibule as well as landscaping. The site is tucked <br />back into a corner near the Soo line Railroad and it is barely visible from Rice Street.
