City of Little Canada, Minnesota
4. Construction site storm water runoff control. The City will implement and
enforce a program to reduce pollutants in any storm water runoff from construction
activities that result in a land disturbance of greater than or equal to one acre as
described in BMP sheets 4 -01 -R to 4 -05 -R.
a. See BMP 4 -02 -R and 4 -03 for the City's regulatory mechanism to require
erosion and sediment controls and to ensure compliance. See BMPs 4 -02 -R to 4 -05 -R for requirements for construction site operators to
implement appropriate erosion and sediment control BMPs.
c. See BMPs 4 -02 -R to 4 -05 -R for requirements for construction site operators to
control waste, such as discarded building materials, concrete truck washout,
chemicals, litter, and sanitary waste at the construction site that may cause
adverse impacts to water quality.
d. See BMP 4 -03 and 4 -04 -R for procedures for site plan review which incorporate
consideration of potential water quality impacts.
e. See BMP 4 -05 -R for the procedures for receipt and consideration of reports of
non compliance or other information on construction related issues submitted by
the public, and
See BMPs 4 -02 -R and 4 -03 to 4 -05 -R for procedures for site inspection and
enforcement of control measures.
5. Post - construction storm water management in new development and
redevelopment. The City will implement and enforce a program to address storm
water runoff from new development and redevelopment projects that disturb greater
than or equal to one acre as described in BMP sheets 5 -01 -R to 5 -04.
a. The City will implement strategies which include a combination of structural
and /or non - structural best management practices (See BMPs 5 -03 -R and 5 -04).
b. See BMPs 5 -02 -R and 5 -04 for the City's regulatory mechanism to address post -
construction runoff from new development and redevelopment projects.
c. See BMPs 5 -03 -R for the City's program to ensure adequate long -term
operation and maintenance of BMPs installed as a result of these requirements.
6.
