Hanson <br />As you will recall, Ramsey County had intended to pursue the sale of a portion of Savage Lane that <br />apparently went tax forfeit in the 1950's (see map attached). The County had valued the parcel at <br />approximately $2,400, and indicated that to prevent the public sale of this portion of road, the City <br />would have to acquire this parcel for $2,400. <br />In working with the County's Tax Forfeit Department, a settlement has been reached. Ramsey <br />County will sell the parcel to the City for $100 plus recording fees, for a total of $179.70. It is staff s <br />recommendation that the Council approve the purchase of this tax - forfeited parcel in the amount of <br />$179.70 for the continued utilization of this parcel for road right -of -way purposes. <br />
