The <br />path is needed to provide handicapped accessibility to rho proposed fishing pier aq <br />part of the park redevelopment. Moving the path 25 feet from the lake would require <br />extensive grading into the .steep slope of the east side of the hill that is adjacent <br />to the lake. The grading would affect mature oak trees.
