I am pleased to inform you that the proposed amendment is substantially compliant <br />with the statewide rules (MR 6120.2500 – 6120.3900) and hereby approved, provided the conditions of <br />approval in this letter are met. <br /> <br />Ordinance Evaluation <br />We have reviewed the sections that you propose to amend as described in your detailed letter dated <br />January 9, 2026, for compliance with state shoreland rules. Attached is the proposed amendment with <br />my comments, color-coded as follows: <br />Blue Comments. These identify minor errors and omissions that are conditions of approval. <br />These should be corrected before final adoption action is taken. <br />Conditions of Approval <br />The following conditions must be met before the DNR will issue final approval: <br />1. Correcting the blue comments as explained in the attached document. <br /> <br />Next Steps <br />Following are the steps for completing and receiving final DNR approval for your amendment: <br />1. Revise the amendment based on the conditions listed above. <br />2. The city council adopts the amendment. <br />3.
