• Intergovernmental Revenue includes Municipal State Aid (MSA) as well as Local
Governmental Aid (LGA). The first half of MSA aid is typically paid in Q1 and has been
collected. LGA revenues have been collected entirely in Q2 and Q4.

• Miscellaneous Revenues include Sheriff’s budget allocation credit and Falcon Heights
Inspection reimbursement. Further, the 2024 budget also included the one-time Police Aid
for $471,111. The Sherifs credit for 2025 will not be collected since the City anticipates
incurring additional expenses in relation to the Sherifs contract for 2025. The City of Little
Canada is not the only contracted city that will incur additional charges in relations to the
2025 Sherif’s contract. Ramsey County is currently working at finalizing the total
additional cost that will be allocated to all contracted cities.

General Fund Expenditures

As of December 31st, actual expenditures are at 111.38% to budget in CY. This is a direct result
of the council approved fund balance transfer of $750,000 to the General Capital Improvement
Fund. In addition, the decrease noted in 2024 primarily relates to the one-time Police Aid
budgeted to be expensed in 2024. These funds were ultimately transferred at the end of 2024 to
help pay for the Fire Equipment Ladder Truck.
