Staff Report <br />To:EDA President Fischer and Officers of the Economic Development Authority <br />From:Bryce Sheeran, City Administrator <br />Ben Harrington, AICP, Community Development Director <br />Date:February 25, 2026 <br />Re:Discussion of 2026 Economic Development Authority Officer Appointments <br />Actions To Be Considered <br />To appoint Economic Development Authority officer roles for 2026. <br />Background <br />The Economic Development Authority has historically appointed board officers on an annual basis. As <br />part of this meeting, the EDA is also reviewing proposed bylaw updates that address officer roles and <br />responsibilities. <br />The following officer positions are contemplated in the proposed bylaws and have historically been <br />used by the Little Canada EDA: <br />1.President - The President shall preside at all meetings of the Board. <br />2.Vice President - The Vice President shall preside at any meeting of the Board in the absence of <br />the President and may exercise all powers and perform all responsibilities of the President if the <br />President cannot exercise or perform the same due to absence or other inability. <br />3.Treasurer - The Treasurer shall receive and be responsible for Authority money, shall disburse <br />Authority money by check only, keep an account of all Authority receipts and disbursements, <br />and the nature and purpose relating thereto <br />Recommendation <br />City staff recommend appointment of Economic Development Authority officer roles.
