CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2026-3-40 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REQUEST FOR ADVANCED MUNICIPAL STATE AID <br />CONSTRUCTION FUNDING <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Little Canada is planning to implement Municipal State Aid Street Projects <br />in 2026 and 2027 which will require State Aid funds in excess of those available in its State Aid <br />Construction Account; and, <br /> <br />WHERAS, the City of Little Canada is prepared to proceed with the construction of said projects <br />through the use of an advance from the Municipal State Aid Street Fund to supplement the available <br />funds in their State Aid Construction Account, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the advance is based on the following determination of estimated expenditures: <br /> <br />Account Balance as of March 16, 2026 $ 1,006,568 <br /> Anticipated Current year Allotment (if completing prior to current year allotment) $ 0 . <br /> <br /> Less estimated disbursements: <br /> Project # SP 200-010-003 $ 640,536 <br /> Project # SP 200-101-013 $ 782,578 <br /> Project # SP 200-020-013 $ 805,422 <br /> Project # SAP 200-101-014 $ 1,095,654 <br />Project # SAP 200-101-015 $ 31,518 <br /> <br /> <br /> Total Estimated Disbursements $ 3,355,708 <br /> Advance Amount (amount in excess of acct balance) $ 2,349,140 <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, repayment of the funds so advanced will be made in accordance with the provisions of <br />Minnesota Statutes 162.14, Subd. 6 and Minnesota Rules, Chapter 8820.1500, Subp. 10b, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Municipality acknowledges advance funds are released on a first-come-first-serve <br />basis and this resolution does not guarantee the availability of funds. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Little <br />Canada; that the Commissioner of Transportation be and is hereby requested to approve this <br />advance for financing approved Municipal State Aid Street Projects of the City of Little Canada in <br />an amount up to $2,349,140. I hereby authorize repayments from subsequent accruals to the <br />Municipal State Aid Street Construction Account of said Municipality from future year allocations <br />until fully repaid.
