The Planning Commission recommended approval of the
rezoning of 73, 77, and 83 West County Road C from B -3 to RB.
There was no one present from the general public present wishing to
comment on this matter.
Upon motion by Fahey, seconded by Scalze, the public hearing was
closed.
Morelan felt that to be consistent, the properties under consideration
should all be rezoned to R.B. Morelan did not agree with the Planning
Commission's position that the zoning should be reflective of what is on
the opposite side of the street from the properties in question.
Scalze pointed out that to rezone 43, 55, 61, and 67 West County Road C
from R -1 to RB would result in these properties being surround by single -
family residential uses on all four sides.
Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2000 -4 -106 — APPROVING THE REZONING OF
73, 77, AND 33 WEST COUNTY ROAD C FROM GENERAL
BUSINESS (B -3) TO SINGLE- FAMILY RESIDENTIAL (R -I)
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (4) Fahey, Scalze, Pedersen, LaValle.
Nays (1) Morelan.
