Another option would be to share a position with another city. This may be the best choice, but to date, I
have not been able to work out any arrangements in this regard.
Based upon this information, it is my recommendation we advertise for a planning intern with the
understanding this job can develop into a full -time position, subject to superior performance and
budgetary constraints. (This gives us the option of developing a good employee or severing a relationship
is someone doesn't measure up. This would be similar to what we did with Elizabeth Mursko.) I would
recommend a salary of $13 to $15 per hour, subject to qualifications. I am also willing to consider a
regular, part -time position if a candidate with the appropriate skills can be found.
Planner /Code Enforcement
Fridley is accepting applications for a planner /code enforcement position. Bachelor's degree in planning, public administration or related field
plus one year experience in code enforcement or related field. Beginning salary: $36,936.72 per year, full -
time; plus an attractive benefits package.
