Hanson
Email: cityhall @ci.little- canada.mn.us
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: February 7, 2001
RE: Frattalone Property
Mr. Frattalone has been out of town so I have not met with him as of yet. I do have a meeting scheduled
for February 15th at 3:30 to initiate discussions.
I have also had a very preliminary conversation with Coralie Wilson, Executive Director of North
Suburban Cable Commission about their possible interest in the office area. (They have discussed the
need for different space given their current location in Roseville is owned by Media One / AT &T
Broadband. With another franchise on the horizon, she is concerned about the appropriateness of being
housed in a building controlled by one franchisee given NSCC's regulatory role over both franchises.)
She is going to look at the building to see if it could work. Given the size of their current space (8,000
square feet) and the need for studio space to have much higher than normal ceilings, the Frattalone
building may not be workable. Financial matters could prove to be another hurdle. Regardless of the
outcome, I thought it was an option worth exploring.
Page 53
