In my <br />opinion, my appointment will provide for two principal values for the Commission. First, I can <br />provide an older citizen's viewpoint, and second, my appointment will help to provide for <br />continuity on the Commission, which I am told has been lacking in the period just before my <br />original appointment two years ago. <br />If appointed, I'll make every effort to serve out my term; however, at my age we must recognize <br />that situations are more likely to occur which could require my resignation before the term is up. <br />Yours truly, <br />/ <br />v James C.
