MINUTES
City Council
l ' Feb. 27, 1985
Larry Lee
Proposal
(Cont.)
Mrs.. Zoch reported that they do not wish to move from their property
and reported that they are proposing that the northern 132 feet of
their property be zoned commercial and that Mr. Lee purchase this
entire portion. Mrs.. Zoch then requested that the rest of their
property except that which would border on the residential street
proposed by Mr. Lee also be zoned commercial so that Mr. Zoch could
operate an auto repair shop from his home if he wished.. The
Zoch property along the street would remain residential although
it would be shorter than what is shown on Mr. Lee's plan..
Mrs. Scalze pointed out that this would all fit in with Mr. Lee's plan.
The Zoch's stated that they have no problem with Mr. Lee's proposal.
Mr. Ron Lachenmeyer of Burke Lane stated that Burke Lane would Like
the whole area to stay residential, but feels that the Lee proposal
is in the best interests of everybody..
Mr. Lachenmeyer expressed some concern about Mr. Lee's industrial
park in another area of the City and some things that Mr. Lee has
failed to do in that area for abutting residential property owners.
Mr. Lachenmeyer requested that the residential street be put in right
away so that Mr. Lee could not come back at a Later date and request
commercial zoning on that property as well. Mr. Fahey commented that
this would be covered as a bond would be requiredfrom Mr. Lee for the
street. r
Mr. Lachenmeyer stated that the burro should go in along the residential
and industrial property Line.
Mr. Nadeau asked what guarantee there was that homes would be built
on this road.. Mr. Fahey commented that Mr. Lee may sell the street
to a residential developer. Mr. Fahey commented that Mr. Lee, is
also aware of how strongly the neighbors feel about this area
However,. Mr.. Fahey commented :that there were no guarantees, but he
doubted. that the Council would rezone this piece of property.
Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NG. 85 -2 -88 — CLOSING THE PUBLIC
HEARING ON- THE LARRY LEE - PROPOSAL
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze.
Ayes (5) Nardini, Scalze, Fahey, Collova, Blesener.
Nayes (0)..
Resolution declared adopted. _
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 12, Page 85..
Page 103
l
