Hanson <br />Email: cityhall @ci.little- canada.mn.us <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor Fahey and Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />DATE: July 6, 2001 <br />RE: Little Canada Road Assessment Hearing <br />Call for Assessment Hearing <br />I will be reviewing final costs for the Little Canada Road improvement with the City <br />Engineer prior to Wednesday's meeting, as well as a breakdown of the City's share of' <br />costs and the amount proposed to be assessed against benefiting property owners. <br />Staff is proposing that properties being used as residential sites be assessed at the <br />commercial rate of $85.00 per front foot with the option to defer the portion of <br />assessment over the standard residential rate of $47.25 per front foot. Commercial <br />properties would be assessed at $85.00 per front foot. <br />Attached are resolutions "Declaring Cost to be Assessed and Ordering the Preparation of' <br />the Proposed Assessment" as well as "Calling for a Hearing on the Proposed <br />Assessment ". Staff recommends that the assessment hearing be held on Wednesday, <br />August 22, 2001 at 6:30 p.m. <br />Page 48 <br />
