May 21, 2001
To: City of Little Canada City Council
From: The Montgomery Family @
90 Rosewood Dr. Little Canada, MN, 55117
Regarding, no parking on the street in front of our yard from 6 a.m. to 7
p.m., and would like a 6 feet variance waiver for fence for future meeting.
Reasons we are petitioning for this are:
A. Driving on my yard to park and resulting in grass being torn up
and occasionally not even being able to cut grass until cars leave.
B. My 16- year -old daughters are tanning in the back yard (example,
Sat. May 19, 2001) and patrons of the coffee shop would pull along our
house walk through the boulevard area of our yard gawking at them. They
feel no privacy . what so ever and very invaded. This is wrong because
people, especially teenagers should feel very comfortable in their own
home.
C. Occasionally customers are dropping cigarette packages and
cigarette butts on my lawn. This is not something 1 enjoy looking at or
cleaning up. Not to mention, it is very bad for the environment.
D. Also one of the reasons we moved here is to have the private cul-
de -sac, and now have cars parking up on our lawn, ruining our yard and
customers invading our privacy in our own back yard, but yet we pay the
high suburban taxes.
Thank you, The Montgomery Family
Page 11
