As we proposed and discussed at the time of submittal of our proposal <br />budget, the enclosed Amendment increases the monthly retainer for civil legal services from <br />52,400.00 to $2,500.00 per month and increases the monthly retainer for criminal legal services <br />from $3,500.00 to $4,200.00 per month. <br />The enclosed also increases the hourly rate for attorneys for services outside the retainer <br />from $92.50 per hour to $100.00 per hour and increases the corresponding paralegal's rate from <br />$45.00 per hour to one -half of the hourly rate for attorneys. The existing hourly rates have been <br />in effect since January 1, 1998. <br />A ccttming the enclosed is acceptable, would you please have the Council authorize <br />execution of the same by the Mayor and you, and return an executed copy to me for my file.
