Hanson <br />Email: cityhall @ci.little- canada.mn.us <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />DATE: December 15, 2000 <br />RE: Ramsey County Sheriff's Contract <br />Attached is the proposed agreement between Ramsey County and the City of Little Canada for <br />law enforcement services. They key changes to this document from previous years are as <br />follows: <br />• The term of the contract has been reduced from five years to three years. <br />• The cancellation notice provision has been reduced from twelve months to nine <br />months. <br />♦ The County and Little Canada may prepare a plan of service which will outline goals <br />and objectives for law enforcement activities for our jurisdiction. (In this regard, it <br />may be wise to schedule a workshop in the next few months to meet with <br />representatives of the Sheriff's Department to talk about service levels and areas of <br />attention we feel are important.) <br />This contract was recommended by the Contracting Jurisdictions Committee.
