October 19, 2000
RE: Little Canada- Coliseum 'Billiards CUP Amendment'
• FILE NO:. 758.09: 00.32
• Coliseum Billiards .is seeking an amendment to' its Conditional Use • Permit for a
Commercial Recreational use in the MarketPlace, zoned PUD District. The original permit
was granted in April, and was to be subject to a'review after one year for extended hours
of operation. The applicant is now requesting permission to extend the hours to 2:00 am.
from the current midnight closing time. No other changes to the operation are proposed.
The Planning Commission reviewed the request and found it tube acceptable, subject to
confirmation with the Sheriffs Department that no major problems with disorderly conduct
had been found. .Staff is researching this issue separately. Planning staff recommends
approval of the CUP amendment with the condition that the City. is .comfortable with
security conditions at the site, and supports the Planning Commission's recommendation
for a foiiaw -up review of•the hours of operation within six months to correlate with the
original permit.
cc: Kathy Glanzer
Greg Schroeder
Steve Westerhaus
Terry Maurer
5775 WAYZATA BOULEVARD,'' SUITE' 555 ST.
