As you know, the City <br />acquired their property at 2929 Country Drive in 1999 to aid in our redevelopment efforts in that <br />area. Had they not been successful in negotiating this purchase with you, I would have <br />recommended the use of eminent domain pursuant to Minn. Stat. §117.01 to facilitate their <br />relocation. This letter constitutes evidence that this property was acquired under the threat of <br />eminent domain.
