Pump efficiency and horsepower
At 6.2 HP, the horsepower requirements are less for the Gorman Rupp pumps than the 10 HP
requirements of the Davies package, and the 9.4 HP requirements of the USEMCO package. As
a result the Gorman Rupp package scores higher in this category.
Delivery schedule
All three companies appear to be able to meet the delivery schedule required.
The city engineers estimated cost for equipment for this package station is $49,500. There is
$50,000 budgeted in the 2000 budget for this equipment.
Based on the above evaluation, I believe the Gorman Rupp package provides the best overall
value for the City of Little Canada. Therefore, I recommend that the City of Little Canada
Council authorize staff to enter into a contract with General Repair Service to provide the
equipment for the Dianna Lane lift station at a cost of $45,357.00.
H:Vessicai\Agenda\August (8\ Dianna Ln lift station.doc
Page 147
