MAYOR
Michael I. Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117-1600 ADMINISTRATOR
(651) 484 -2177 / FAX: (651) 484 -4538 Joel R. Hanson
Email: cityhall @ci.little - canada.mn.us
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey and Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel R. Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: July 7, 2000
RE: Little Canada Road — Electrical Outlets on Street Lights
At the last meeting, the Council tabled the decision of whether to install the outlets on our
new street lights along Little Canada Road I have learned that Council Member LaVaile
will not be present at the July 12th meeting so I called him to get his opinion on this
matter. After explaining to him the current breakdown of the other Council Members'
positions and discussing whether future Councils may wish to light this area to help
accentuate our primary commercial area, he felt we should proceed with installation of
the outlets at this time. This will add another $8,960 to the lighting contract for 28
fixtures (every other light from Rice Street to the railroad tracks).
Page 23
