JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA CITY OF VADNAIS HEIGHTS <br />purposes such as property taxes, voting precincts, utilities, zoning, <br />etc., the homes on Lots 1 through 3, Block 2 will be considered <br />Vadnais Heights and the remainder of the lots and outlot A shall be <br />considered to be in Little Canada. Little Canada and Vadnais <br />Heights shall request that Ramsey County abide by this agreement. <br />E. CONNECTION TO PROPERTY WITHIN LI1 "1'LE CANADA <br />Connections to the water main will be done under the jurisdiction of Vadnais <br />Heights and at the expense of the person connecting to the water main. A <br />connection permit must be obtained from Vadnais Heights prior to connection. <br />Vadnais Heights shall notify Little Canada each time a permit application is <br />made. The manner of connection shall meet the requirements of Vadnais Heights <br />and that of any other governmental subdivision having jurisdiction. All <br />connection charges in effect for Vadnais Heights at the time of connection shall <br />be collected by Vadnais Heights prior to issuing the connection permit. If the <br />zoning or use of the property changes, new connection fees shall be charges based <br />on Vadnais Heights current ordinances. <br />F. OWNERSHIP AND MAINTENANCE OF CONSTRUCTED WATER AND <br />SEWER MAINS <br />Each municipality agrees to own and maintain the water and sewer main within <br />its municipal boundaries at its expense, with the exception that Vandais Heights <br />shall provide periodic flushing of the water main within this area until the looped <br />system is completed. The City's may enter into maintenance agreements with <br />each other or provide necessary easements. Vadnais Heights also agrees to allow <br />Little Canada to make future connections to the water main but only after Vadnais <br />Heights' review, approval and determination of any necessary cost for extension. <br />Page 66 <br />
