Hanson <br />Email: cityhall @ci.little- canada.mn.us <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor Fahey and Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Kathy Glanzer, Deputy Clerk <br />DATE: March 15, 2000 <br />RE: Liquor License Fees <br />During the fall of 1995, the City Council established the following Liquor license fee schedule to run through <br />the liquor license period which expires on June 30, 2000: <br />1996 -1997 1998 -1999 <br />On -Sale Wine $200 $300 <br />On -Sale Intoxicating $2,500 $2,750 <br />On -Sale 3.2 $100 $100 <br />Off -Sale 3.2 $100 $100 <br />The following license fees are established by State Statute, and the City does not have the authority to exceed <br />these maximums: <br />Consumption & Display $300 <br />On -Sale Sunday $200 <br />Off -Sale Liquor $150 <br />A public hearing is required in order to consider increasing liquor license fees. State Statute also requires 30 <br />days notice of the public hearing. Therefore, if the Council wants to consider increasing liquor license fees, I <br />would recommend that a public hearing be called for Wednesday, April 261h, at 7:30 p.m. <br />page 162 <br />
