Hanson <br />Email: cityhall @ci.little- canada.mn.us <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Greg Schroeder, Public Works Director <br />DATE: April 21, 2000 <br />RE: Irrigation System Installation <br />On Thursday, April 13, 2000, the City of Little Canada received, opened and read aloud the bids <br />for an automatic irrigation system installation for Spooner Park Field #1 (Gilbertson) and <br />expansion of the City Center's irrigation system. <br />Attached for your reference are copies of the proposed irrigation system work. Drawing #1 <br />shows the irrigation work to be done at Gilbertson Field and Drawing #2 shows the irrigation <br />work to be done at the City Center. Both of these systems are needed to enable better <br />maintenance of these areas. Also, the City Center irrigation system work will enable all of the <br />areas normally viewed by our residents and visitors to look more uniform and green. <br />We received and opened bids from the following companies: <br />Company Lump Sum Bid <br />Anderson Irrigation $6,888 <br />Mickman Brothers, Inc. 14, 189 <br />Albrecht Companies No bid <br />After evaluating the bids, it was determined that the low bidder, Anderson Irrigation, provided <br />the best value for the City. <br />Funds for this work are in the 2000 budget's General Capital Improvement Fund as follows: <br />Spooner Irrigation System — Gilbertson <br />Parks & Recreation $5,000 <br />\ \CLCSRVOl \HOME \KrisP \CORRESP\2000 \Irrigation 5) <br />Page 181 <br />
