MAYOR
Michael L Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117-1600 ADMINISTRATOR
(651) 484 -2177 / FAX: (651) 484 -4538 Joel R. Hanson
Email: cityhall @ci.little - canada.mn.us
TO: Mayor & Council Members
FROM: Elizabeth Mursko, Zoning Administrator
DATE: March 28, 2000
RE: Individual Sewage Treatment Systems
State Statute (Minn. Stat. Sec. 115.55) requires that each city develop an ordinance that
meets Minn. R. ch. 7080. City Staff developed and incorporated language in our
Sanitary Sewer Ordinance regulating Individual Sewage Treatment Systems within the
City of Little Canada. The ordinance language was adopted by resolution at the March
8, 2000 Council Meeting.
This ordinance was submitted to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency on March 20,
2000 for review as required by State Statute (letter is enclosed). The Minnesota
Pollution Control Agency requested that two minor changes be considered as reflected
on pages three (3) and four (4).
My recommendation is to modify the ordinance language reflected on pages three (3)
and four (4) as requested by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
Page 44
