515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(651) 484 -2177 / FAX: (651) 484 -4538
Email: cityhall @ci.little- canada.mn.us
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey and Members of the City Council
FROM: Kathy Glanzer, Deputy Clerk
DATE: February 15, 2000
RE: Vacation of Alleyways and Day Avenue
MAYOR
Michael I. Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
As you will recall, at the time the Council approved a Conditional Use Permit for
accessory garage space for Mark Graczyk, 30 Demont Avenue, the vacation of an
alleyway easement through his property as well as additional alleyways and Day Avenue
were discussed. At the time, the Council felt that a public hearing should be held to
consider the vacation of these alleyways and Day Avenue.
I informed Randy Graczyk, Terrace Heights Mobile Home Park, that the Council would
likely call for a public hearing to consider these vacations. His initial thought is that
there is no problem from their perspective with the vacations. However, Mr. Graczyk
will be prepared to comment further at the public hearing.
Staff recommends that the Council schedule a public hearing for Wednesday, March
22id,to consider the vacations outlined in the attached resolution.
Page 115
