MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 23, <br />COMP PLAN <br />UPDATE <br />REZONING OF <br />COUNTY <br />ROAD C <br />PROPERTIES <br />TEMPORARY <br />SIGN <br />PERMIT — <br />C1.FIES <br />WEEK <br />EXEMPTION <br />FROM <br />GAMBLING <br />LICENSE — <br />GOOD <br />1998 <br />The City Planner indicated that he has forwarded a copy of the Comp <br />Plan update to the Metropolitan Council for review. Once the City <br />receives Met Council's comments, it can schedule a public hearing at <br />which formal adoption of the Comp Plan would be considered. <br />Scalze noted the comment under Item 5 regarding separation of motorized <br />from non - motorized traffic on the City's trail system. Scalze indicated <br />that none of the City's trails allow motorized vehicles. The City Planner <br />indicated that he will make this amendment as well as some other <br />housekeeping changes which have been pointed out by the City's staff. <br />It was noted that this matter will be brought back to the Council once the <br />Metropolitan Council's comments are received. <br />The City Planner reviewed the Planning Commission's discussion <br />regarding the finalization of the rezoning of 89 West County Road C <br />prior to considering rezoning the remaining 3 -3 properties located on <br />the north side of County Road C. The rezoning of 89 West County Road <br />C will be finalized once the property sale is closed. <br />Scalze noted that should these remaining properties be rezoned to RB, the <br />City could end up with a string of duplexes along County Road C. <br />The Council discussed the matter and it was their consensus to bring the <br />issue back for discussion once the rezoning of 89 West County Road C is <br />finalized. <br />Mr. Pedersen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98 -9 -23I - APPROVING A TEMPORARY SIGN <br />PERMIT FOR CITIES WEEKAND THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY <br />GRAND OPENING AND WAIVING THE PERMIT FEE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Pedersen, Scalze, Morelan, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98 -9 -232 - APPROVING AN APPLIC4TION <br />FOR EXEMPTION FROM LAWFUL GAMBLING LICENSE FOR <br />THE EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN GOOD SAMARITAN SOCIETY <br />Page 147 <br />
