MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 27, 2012
PURCHASE
OF FOLDING
TABLES
RICE STREET/
HIGHWAY 36
BRIDGE
PROJECT
The Administrator reported that he had given Rueckert the authority to
proceed with the financial /accounting duties to the degree necessary to
keep the City's processes current. He noted that it was difficult to
estimate the amount of hours necessary to do this, and assured the Council
that the option of having Rueckert serve as interim Finance Director was
the most cost- effective for the City. He anticipated that there will still be
some additional hours necessary which will include initial support by
Rueckert for the new Finance Director.
Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -6 -115 — APPROVING PAYMENT TO
SHELLY RUECKERT FOR INTERIM FINANCE DIRECTOR
DUTIES IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,382.90
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
The City Clerk reported that the Parks & Recreation Director is
recommending the replacement of folding tables at the City Center and
Parks Maintenance Shop with a commercial grade, lighter table at a cost
of $2,580. She reported that the existing tables are worn and are very
heavy. These tables pose a risk for injury to City employees putting up
and taking down the tables. The tables at the Old Fire Hall rental facility
were replaced several years ago with this new style, lighter table, and the
new tables held up very well. The Clerk noted that the City's Safety
Committee supports this purchase as a safety improvement.
Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -6 -116 — APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
FOLDING TABLES FOR THE CITY CENTER AND PARKS
MAINTENANCE GARAGE AS RECOMMENDED BY CITY STAFF
AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED $2,580 WITH THE MONEY TO
COME FROM THE GENERAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0).
