Hanson
www. ci.l i the -c anada. mn. us
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Blesener and Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: July 6, 2012
RE: Discussion of New Letterhead
At our last meeting, there seemed to be some interest in modifying our letter based on the new
logo we used for the "Wonders of Engineering" Award. To that end, staff has enclosed some
options for your review.
The first attachment is the new logo. The second attachment is our current letterhead. Then we
have attached three options utilizing the new logo. They are #'s 1, 2, and 3.
If the Council would like to pursue new letterhead, we would like your input. At Wednesday's
meeting you can tell us if a change is needed and in what direction we should go. Please keep in
mind the three samples were done using "Word" so spacing is not exact. However, we think
they provide a flavor of some options.
If new letterhead were to be used, staff would plan on implementation around the first of the year
to allow us to use up existing stock and to set the letterhead based on the 2012 election results.
However, the Council could choose an earlier implementation if you feel it is warranted.
1
