City of Little Canada, Ramsey County, and the State of Minnesota in <br />effect at this time of this contract or hereafter adopted. In the event, <br />there is a conflict between the provisions of this contract and the <br />pertinent ordinances, regulations, and statutes the more stringent <br />requirements shall apply. <br />c. The Contractor shall report all violations of ordinances pertaining to <br />garbage and refuse collection and disposal for enforcement purposes <br />including all unsanitary or filthy conditions to the City. <br />5. Safety. <br />The Contractor shall provide and maintain all sanitary and safety <br />accommodations for the use and protection of its employees as may he necessary <br />to provide for their health and welfare and comply with federal, state, and local <br />codes and regulations, as well as those of other bodies and tribunals having <br />jurisdiction. Employee safety and sanitation facility regulations are set forth in <br />Minnesota Statutes 182 and in the Department of Labor and hndustry's Labor <br />Safety Code (LISC 73 -75). <br />D. Compensation. <br />1. Base Compensation. <br />City and Contractor shall on a monthly basis, verify the number of households at <br />each level of collection service and the additional billable serviced provided <br />during the month. The verification procedure will use the prior month's ending <br />service counts adjusted by the weekly change reports submitted by the City plus <br />the current month's cumulative additional services requested through the weekly <br />change reports, with the exception of Senior Bag Rate service pick ups that must <br />be accounted for by the Contractor and reported to the City in the monthly <br />billing. The Contractor shall submit a summarized monthly hill by service level <br />charges and a listing of other additional charges for services. A detailed report of <br />all residences with billed services will also be submitted in support of the <br />summarized billing. The billing documents should be submitted to the City on or <br />before the 7th day of each month. The City will pay the Contractor within 30 <br />days of receipt of the invoice as long as the billing is in sufficient form that the <br />City is able to satisfactorily verify the amount due. This practice will be <br />followed each month during the term of this contract. The City shall be <br />responsible for the billing of individual residences for services provided and for <br />the collection of said billings. <br />2. Disposal Fees. <br />The Contractor shall pay all disposal fees resulting from the collections of Little <br />Canada refuse, yard waste, bulky items, and recyclables. <br />-16- <br />17 <br />
