Hanson <br />www. ci.little- canada.mn.us <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />PROCLAMATION <br />HEROES DAY <br />WHEREAS, <br />Countless scores of Minnesotans have served our country in all branches of our armed <br />forces; and <br />WHEREAS, <br />It is the desire of our community to be United in Thanks to those who serve to protect <br />sovereign freedoms and recognize their contribution to a just and peaceful world; and <br />WHEREAS, <br />Citizens of the Twin Cities and surrounding communities have come together to organize <br />an event, The Twin Cities Heroes Parade, an event that fulfills the desire to come <br />together to duly give thanks; and <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Little Canada <br />hereby declares Saturday, July 28, 2012, Twin Cities Heroes Day in the City of Little <br />Canada in recognition of all those who have served our country in military uniform over <br />the last decade and in conjunction with the Celebration of Heroes Parade that day. <br />NOW FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Little Canada <br />encourages its residents to attend the Celebration of Heroes Parade on July 28, 2012 in <br />downtown Minneapolis at 11 a.m. to cheer the parade participants and offer thanks to our <br />military heroes. <br />William Blesener, Mayor <br />
