Fahey stated that if there is a problem with the ordinance,
the Council could look at it at that time.
Fahey also felt that 25% should be added to Item 3. Mr. Blesener
pointed out that the City has issued a building permit for Horns Tires
to allow this building to expand with similar materials. The expansion
is over 25%.
Fahey pointed out that this is before the ordinance.
Mr. Kloskin asked how this ordinance will effect his business. Blesener
replied that Kloskin would be allowed to expand his building up to 25%
of the existing structure and with similar construction.
Kloskin asked what would happen should he tear the building down. Fahey
replied that then Kloskin would have to comply with the ordinance.
Fahey felt that the Council should agree on an intent of the ordinance,
and then let the Attorney draft the ordinance. Fahey asked if the
intent was to allow additions of 25% of the existing building with
similar materials. Fahey stated that the square footage would he
based on the existing building on the date of the adoption of the
ordinance. Mr. Blesener agreed.
