CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />RESOLUTION INITIATING ACQUISITION <br />WHEREAS, the City of Little Canada has determined that there <br />is a need for acquisition by the City of property located at 2600 <br />Rice Street, Little Canada, Minnesota, and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary and in the public interest and will <br />further the City's general plan of economic development to <br />acquire fee title to said property, and <br />WHEREAS, it may be impossible to acquire said property by <br />purchase or negotiation, and <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Chapters 469 and 117 and other <br />authority grant the City of Little Canada authority to acquire <br />private property for public purposes when necessary, and <br />WHEREAS, said acquisition by the City of Little Canada shall <br />be subject to and conditioned upon all applicable requirements of <br />the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition <br />Policies Act of 1970, Uniform Relocation Act Amendments of 1987, <br />and Minnesota Statutes Section 117.52. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Little Canada that the City is authorized to commence the <br />necessary steps to acquire fee title to said property by <br />purchase, negotiation, and eminent domain. This grant of <br />authority is expressly subject to the requirements of the Uniform <br />Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act <br />of 1970, Uniform Relocation Act Amendments of 1987, and <br />Minnesota Statutes Section 117.52. <br />1 <br />PAGE 175 <br />
