Storm Water Pond along Washout
This option would include grading a stormwater pond along the washout area on the east
property line of the lots, east of Maple Leaf Court. The water from the culverts under County
Road D and Maple Leaf Court, along with the areas draining directly into the gully, would flow
into this pond. The pond would allow for stormwater to be stored as it is being gradually
released by an outlet structure.
The most feasible option for ponding is to create a separate pond along the washout area north
of the existing pond, as shown in the attached sketch. The proposed pond would accept
stormwater from the north and discharge into the existing stormwater pond, which receives
discharge from the catchbasin in the cul -de -sac.
The proposed pond would create approximately 0.5 acre -feet of dead pool storage, smaller than
that which would be required by NURP standards which would be 0.76 acre feet based on the
contributing drainage areas. Storm water modeling would be done on the proposed pond to
determine the pond outlet structure and the high water levels in the pond.
The estimated cost of the stormwater pond is $43,000.00. This cost includes pond excavation,
an outlet structure, clearing and grubbing, and restoration..
O:IPROJ18044901103254190- 1304.4a, `/a
0
Page 130 pent
