The City Engineer explained that the purpose of the pond was to catch sedimentation. This
pond will need to be cleaned out periodically to maintain its effectiveness.
The City Engineer stated that he estimated the project would take two weeks to construct. It is
hopeful that the project could start somewhere in the vicinity of mid- August to mid- September.
The City Administrator stated that the City Council will be considering this matter at their July
28`h meeting and the neighborhood is welcome to attend. He also pointed out that the City of
Vadnais Heights who is bearing the largest portion of the project costs is to be considering this
matter at their July 20th meeting. It was noted that the City of Little Canada does not assess
storm sewer improvements. Therefore, there would be no cost to the abutting property owners.
The neighbors were satisfied with this proposal and thanked the staff for their efforts in this
regard.
Submitted by,
Joel R.
