MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 14, 1999 <br />STORAGE OF EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS, AND CAR STORAGE <br />(INCLUDING CAR BODY COMPONENTS AND VARIOUS AUTO <br />PARTS) AS AN ACCESSORY USE AT 3176 SPRUCE STREET <br />OWNED BY MR DON VALENTO UNTIL THEAUGUST11, 1999 <br />COUNCIL MEETING PENDING ADDITIONAL INFORMATION <br />RELATIVE TO PARKING REQUIREMENTS AS EXISTED IN 1979 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Fahey, Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CUP - Mayor Fahey opened the public hearing to consider a Conditional Use <br />3172/3174 Permit for open and outdoor storage of equipment as an accessory use <br />RYAN LANE - at 3172/3174 Ryan Lane, Carlson Sales and Service. The Planning <br />CARLSON Commission recommended approval subject to compliance with the <br />SALES & recommendations of the Zoning Administrator as outlined in her report <br />SERVICE dated June 28, 1999. <br />The City Administrator pointed out that the Council had previously tabled <br />action on this CUP request to give the Public Works Director an <br />opportunity to look at the soil conditions at the back of the property to <br />determine if those conditions would support blacktop. The Public Works <br />Director has looked at the site and determined that blacktop could be <br />supported. However, the information reviewed by the Director did not <br />include a detailed soils analysis. The Administrator suggested that if the <br />applicant desires to have soils testing done, the Director would take <br />another look at the site. <br />There was no one from the public present wishing to comment on this <br />matter. <br />Upon motion by Fahey, seconded by LaValle, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99-7-178 - APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT TO ALLOW OPEN AND OUTDOOR STORAGE OF <br />EQUIPMENT AS AN ACCESSORY USE FOR 3172/3174 RYAN <br />LANE, CARLSON SALES AND SERVICE SUBJECT TO <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE <br />ZONING ADMINISTRATOR AS OUTLINED IN HER REPORT <br />DATED JUNE 28, 1999 WITH THE INDICATION THAT THE <br />SOUTH FENCE AREA MAY BE A BETTER LOCATION FOR <br />Page 76 <br />
