MARCO
CONSTRUCTION
mmessa
RESOLUTION NO. 99-6-153 — APPROVING THE HARDEE'S
RESTAURANT SIGN AS REVISED BASED ON THE
RECOMMENDATION OF THE CITY PLANNER THAT THE SIGN
NOW MEETS THE CITY'S ARCHITECTURAL STANDARDS
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey, LaValle.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
Mayor Fahey opened the public hearing to consider the Preliminary
Plat and Architectural Review for an office building proposed on
Viking Drive by the R. J. Marco Construction Company. The Planning
Commission recommended approval of the Preliminary Plat and the
Architectural Review contingent upon compliance with the
recommendations of the City Planner and the City Engineer as well
as additional requirements as outlined in the Planning Commission
minutes dated June 9, 1999.
Reg Plowman, R. J. Marco Company, reported that they are in agreement
with most of the recommendations.
Scalze noted the recommendation that the exit ramp for Highway 36 be
posted so that right turns on red are not allowed. Scalze suggested that
this would cause problems with traffic backing up onto Highway 36.
Morelan pointed out that MN DOT would have jurisdiction over the
posting of that exit ramp. Scalze suggested that that recommendation
would have to be referred to MN DOT for review and comment.
There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on
this matter.
Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Fahey, the public hearing was
closed.
The City Planner reported that R J. Marco has submitted revised plans,
and he has not had sufficient time to do a thorough review. The Planner
indicated that it appears the revisions will meeting the City's architectural
standards, but requested that action on that review be delayed. The
Planner also noted that a landscape plan has not yet been submitted.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
Page 45
