Stephen Haselmann, Vice President <br />Commissioners: Michael Arcand• Jay Benanav • Kevin Kittridge • Jim Reiter <br />September 16, 1999 <br />The Honorable Mayor and Council Members <br />City of Little Canada <br />515 Little Canada Road <br />Little Canada, MN 55117 <br />Re: Board of Water Commissioner's plat <br />Dear Mayor Fahey: <br />I am writing to request your consideration of a second extension of the plat recording deadline, to <br />November 30, 1999. <br />On October 15, I998 we requested an extension to January 29, 1999 because the Ramsey County <br />surveyor required reconveyance of portions of vacated lands within and adjacent to the plat as a <br />condition of plat approval. Some of these required conveyance from Mn/DOT to Fratt's Land <br />Company, and Mn/DOT preferred to issue the quit claim deeds as part of its conveyance of T.H. <br />49 to Ramsey County. That was completed at the end of 1998. <br />We obtained all necessary signatures and tried to record the plat in January 1999, but it was held <br />up pending full payment of 1999 property taxes on the parcel owned by Fratt's Land Company. <br />We understand those taxes have now been paid. <br />While the property tax payment was still unresolved, we sold another parcel within the proposed <br />plat, requiring new plat sheets to reflect the current property ownership. Our surveyor has been <br />working with the Ramsey County Surveyor and expects to have an approved set completed by <br />September 30, 1999. <br />We believe we will be able to obtain all required signatures and record the plat by November 30, <br />1999, and respectfully request an extension to that date. <br />Sincerely, <br />e <br />e <br />Bernie R.
