Hanson <br />The 2000 capital budgeting process is underway, and staff will be holding several <br />meetings in October to refine the General Capital Improvement Budget. The 10% <br />Committee will also need to meet soon to go over request for expenditures from that <br />fund. Per the City's 10% Committee Guidelines (attached), the following individuals <br />were appointed for the 1999 budgeting process: <br />2 City Council Members <br />1 Planning Commission Member <br />1 Parks & Rec Comm. Member <br />1 Community Pride Member <br />3 Citizens -At -Large <br />City Administrator <br />Public Works Director <br />Parks & Rec Director <br />Fire Chief <br />Bob Pedersen and Jim LaValle <br />Gene DeLonais <br />Roger Christianson <br />Shelly Boss <br />Jean Donovan, Ray Hanson, Don Smith <br />Joel Hanson <br />Greg Schroeder <br />Jim Morelan <br />Dick Boss <br />The Planning and Parks & Rec Commission will be appointing representatives at their <br />October meetings. Council will need to determine who its representatives will be for this <br />year, as well as consider the appointment or reappointment of representatives from the <br />Community Pride Committee and citizens -at- large. The appointments will need to be <br />ratified at the October 27, 1999 Council meeting. A meeting of the 10% Committee has <br />been tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, November 3, 1999 at 4 p.m. <br />Per Council policy, they will be proposing allocation of 50% of the estimated $50,000 <br />available. (The remaining 50% is allocated as a reimbursement for Parks & Rec eligible <br />costs.) <br />Page 67 <br />
