Redevelopment Project Area No. 1 <br />6. To assist the financial feasibility of private projects to the extent necessary and where there is a <br />corresponding level of public benefit. <br />7. To enhance the overall economy of the City and surrounding area by retaining current, and <br />providing additional, employment opportunities for the residents of the City and surrounding <br />community. <br />8. To increase the City's tax base. <br />9. To stimulate development and investment within the Redevelopment Area by private interest. <br />1.4 Redevelopment Activities <br />The City anticipates undertaking a variety of activities to implement the Redevelopment Plan and the <br />Development Guide. These activities include, but are not limited to, <br />1. Acquisition of real property. <br />2. Removal and reduction of blight. <br />3. Construction and mainteance of public improvements. <br />4. Preparation of sites for redevelopment. <br />5.. Conduct of planning and other technical activities. <br />6. Conduct of an urban renewal project. <br />7. Rehabilitation of buildings. <br />8. Provision of housing. <br />9.
