Trunk Highway 49 Turnback <br />Interstate 694 to University Avenue <br />Sample Resolution Format for Municipal Concurrence <br />of County State Aid Highway system designation <br />October 27, 1999 <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation and Ramsey County have <br />entered into a Memorandum of Understanding which provides for the consolidation of <br />roadway jurisdictions in Ramsey County; and <br />WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding includes a consolidation plan, <br />prepared in conjunction with municipalities of Ramsey County; and <br />WHEREAS, the consolidation plan provides for the turnback of State Trunk <br />Highway 49 from Interstate 694 to University Avenue to Ramsey County; and <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County intends to accept the jurisdictional change on or <br />about January 1, 2000, and will place the 6.136 mile segment on the County State Aid <br />Highway system; NOW THEREFORE BE IT <br />RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Little Canada concurs with the <br />establishment and designation of the turnback segment of State Trunk Highway 49 from <br />Interstate 694 to University Avenue as a County State Aid Highway (CSAH) in Ramsey <br />County under provisions of Minnesota Law, subject to the approval of the Commissioner <br />of Transportation of the State of Minnesota; and BE IT FURTHER <br />RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward <br />two certified copies of this resolution to the Commissioner of Transportation of <br />the State of Minnesota, and upon his approval of the designation of the said <br />roadway or portion thereof, that the same be constructed, improved, and <br />maintained as a County State Aid Highway in Ramsey County, to be numbered and <br />known as County State Aid Highway 49. <br />Adopted this day of November, 1999 <br />Add municipal signatures, certification and seal. <br />Page 194 <br />
