Sanders noted that due to storm water
improvements made in the park as part of street projects in the area, it is
necessary to re- landscape along the north and east side of the park.
Additional landscape is also proposed on the east side of the park to
improve aesthetics as this side abuts apartment garages.
Blesener asked about park usage. Sanders replied that usage comes from
the immediate neighborhood, the single- family homes and apartment
residents. Blesener stated that he has received some complaints about
people cutting through the neighborhood to go to the Market Place
Shopping Center. It was suggested that the City look for a way to control
this traffic.
