Hanson <br />Email: cityhall @ci.little- canada.mn.us <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor Fahey and Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Kathy Glanzer, Deputy Clerk <br />DATE: November 18, 1999 <br />RE: Government Access Policy <br />City staff has recently formed an internal Cable TV Committee that meets monthly to <br />discuss issues of programming, equipment, etc. This committee is comprised of Joel <br />Hanson, Jim Morelan, Greg Schroeder, Kris Pechman, Elizabeth Mursko, Jamie Green, <br />and Kathy Glanzer. <br />As part of the committee's discussions, it was felt that the City should have a <br />Government Access Policy in place as a basis for responding to requests for use of the <br />City's cable TV channel. While past use requests have been handled appropriately, it <br />was felt that a policy would provide a formal basis for dealing with requests. <br />Attached is a proposed policy for Council's consideration. The Cable TV Committee has <br />recommended adoption. <br />Page 76 <br />
